Verena Dudde was born in 1982 in Innsbruck, Austria, where she is living again after being in Vienna, Mexico and Gmunden. She works as a freelance artist.

The materials she chooses often embody a dialogue between pigment, ink and charcoal, combining conventional techniques with unconventional processes to create works that are both simple and conceptually complex.

In her practice she draws upon her own experiences and also engages with wider cultural and historical narratives. Themes of femininity, oppression and empowerment recur throughout her work as she explores the complexities of female existence.

As a psychotherapist and as an art instructor she creates a space where personal expression is at the forefront. Using painting, drawing and mixed media techniques, she encourages clients and students to explore their intuition and to embrace experimentation. Her approach is to support each individual to find meaning and connection through the transformative creative process.

She has participated in several group exhibitions in Vienna.
